From Future World: Virtual Reality


Hello everybody.

    In this post,
I want to talk about the Virtual Reality(VR).

   Virtual reality is a simulated experience that can be similar to or completely different from the real world. It is said that the most important feature of VR is the fact that it can imitate real settings. 
    
    In this century, we see VR almost in every sector. We see it in entertainment, business, or education. In entertainment aria, we see it mostly in games. There are plenty of games that offer gamers to play with VR. You kinda get into the game and play it like it is real. It is a very exciting experience.

    For education, VR is newly used. Let's think about it. As a teacher, you can bring almost every environment for your students. For biology human body, for history Pyramids, or for language classes you can choose the country of the language belongs. This is something that we couldn't think about a decade ago. However, it is real and today many educators use it. Unfortunately, it is impossible to get access to VR for everyone for financial reasons. If you ask my opinion, I would say that in 10 years, VR will be a tool that everyone has access to.

TPACK&SAMR in Language Teaching

Hello!!! Today I would like to say a few words about two terms called TPACK and SAMR. These two frameworks emerged in language teaching because lately technology is a big part of life. To ease and create a better class environment, these two frameworks are needed.      Let's learn what is TPACK is first. This framework is created by  Punya Mishra and Matthew J. Koehler. TPACK focuses on technological knowledge(TK), pedagogical knowledge(PK), and content knowledge(CK). It offers an efficient approach to problems that teachers are facing in implementing technology to classes. According to TPACK framework, some specific technological tools like software, application, etc. are very important to show and guide students with a better understanding of the subject.        In TPACK framework, three types of knowledge- technological knowledge, pedagogical knowledge, and content knowledge- are combined in various different ways. UNESCO Loved It: Thinglink

Hello everybody!   Today's topic is a platform that is rewarded by UNESCO for   ICT in Education Prize. It is called Thinglink.   Thinglink is a platform that enables users to create interactive images and videos. It also offers VR and 360 degrees images.     It is very easy to understand the process of creating an interactive image or video because when you sign in to the website, it shows you a tutorial video. After that, you can see a bunch of inspiring projects to get help from.      In a classroom environment, thinglink will be very helpful to create new projects for students. Creating interactive presentations can be beneficial for students. They can experience Thinglink and learn more effectively. They can also interact with each other while working in groups and create an interactive image. With the 360 degrees feature, students can experience a unique learning way.
